There is absolutely nothing legally or ethically wrong with letting patients or parents of patients take pictures of their radiographs. Of course, hospitals will try to dissuade the practice with “No Photography” signs, but legally, they can't forbid it.
I recently had the pleasure of watching an ER doctor try to scan an OB 2nd tri patient. She was planning to discharge the patient & said no exam was needed; she only wanted a quick HR from me. Then she asked if I could show her a few basic machine things so she could quickly scan the patient and let the patient take a picture 😵💫.
I’ll respond to him or her, but please talk to your actual doctors and don’t listen to internet strangers! Based on one image, this could be a glioblastoma that has a 1% five-year survival no matter how aggressive the treatment.

ADMIN MOD. Those of you who work at a hospital… do you feel like x-ray techs are looked down on at your hospital? Discussion. In general by nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists, in the OR, both? I can’t help but feel like they think all we do is push a button and that we’re not really important or useful.
