19 Ιουν 2023 · Google Maps. How to Get There . Rainbow Springs State Park is located just five miles outside of Dunnellon, off US Highway 41 N. along SW 81st Pl Rd. Signs mark the way, making it easy to find the main entrance.
The Rainbow River is located in Dunnellon, Florida, United States, in the southwest corner of Marion County, about 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Ocala, 100 miles (160 km) northwest of Orlando and 100 miles (160 km) north of the Tampa Bay area.
While staying in Ocala in late February, we visited Rainbow Springs State Park, which is near Dunellon, FL. Part of the property is an old zoo from the 1930s. There are winding walkways and several man-made waterfalls, which are fed by water from the crystal clear Rainbow River.
Google Maps Directions → Visitors coming from the Miami area and the north should take the Florida Turnpike (Route 821) south until it ends, merging with U.S. 1 at Florida City. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Palm Drive (State Road 9336/SW 344th St.) and follow the signs to the park.
