3 Μαρ 2024 · While staying in Ocala in late February, we visited Rainbow Springs State Park, which is near Dunellon, FL. Part of the property is an old zoo from the 1930s. There are winding walkways and several man-made waterfalls, which are fed by water from the crystal clear Rainbow River.
The nature trails at Rainbow Springs State Park take you back in time when “Old Florida” theme park attractions ruled the tourism industry of the state. The ruins are not only fascinating but also a bit eerie – you can almost picture what it would have been like “back in the day.”
