1 Απρ 2012 · The number 104.3 and the name Ranger says it was made for and sold by Sears Roebuck. It was manufactured by Stevens Arms by one of the many names they used. I would not venture a guess on date of manufacture as it is not stamped with any of the Stevens corporate names.
The barrels retain about 80% original blue toning to brown under bright light showing scattered spots of oxidation and light pitting along the side of the left barrel. The cyanide case-hardened frame retains some nice color, thinning at the carry point with pinprick pitting.
serial #173805, 16 ga, 28'' barrels with excellent bores. The barrels retain about 90% later-applied finish with some thinning, handling marks and areas toning to a brown patina. The frame retains some original case-hardened color with some freckling, pinprick oxidation and the belly and high edges toning to silver.
