16 Οκτ 2018 · The actual disks always maxed out around 100-250kbps and I've never seen above 250kbps on a floppy. Read speeds could reach higher but I've never seen close to a controllers max. Not the best answer perhaps but some insight for you.

Once the floppies are in a floppy disk image format (.IMG or IMD..etc.), you might want to invest in a gotek floppy drive with HcX support. You can copy all those image files to a USB drive and then mount them in your old PC to play those old games again.
