2 Αυγ 2002 · Here's my take on Redline, based on the results I've seen to date and a fair amount of experience with synthetic lubes: Strong Points: 1) Probably the best shear stability of any multrgrade I've seen - even the 5w-40 and 10w-40 grades simply don't shear. If you look at the spec sheets, it's easy to figure out why.
15 Ιουλ 2020 · Both times it was absolutely terrible. I have used Amsoil in my A4 and 2001 S4. I had the severe gear in my A4 rear diff, had the regular in the front diff. In my S4, I have Amsoil FGR in the front diff, MTG in the rear diff, and the older regular (before signature) ATF in my trans plus AFL in the engine.
25 Μαΐ 2005 · I was planning on ordering the Red Line 75w-90 GL-5 gear oil for my 2011 328xi BMW. But the Valvoline 75w-90 full synthetic seems to be really good on paper. It seems like everyone uses Red Line in their BMW differentials, so I’ll probably use it. This stuff is better than Redline and cheaper.

17 Οκτ 2022 · I used the Redline in my transmission for several changes. It worked fine, but was too expensive so I switched to a 75-140 Synthetic gear oil and have not noticed any difference in noise or shifting. Mobil 1 makes car/truck oil and a V twin motorcycle specific oil.
