5 Ιουλ 2012 · The iPhone Dev-Team released RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 with improved algorithm for baseband downgrade from the iPad’s 06.15 baseband to 05.13 on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. The 06.15 baseband was used by many users to unlock their device. Now it is possible to to get back true GPS and an ultrasn0w unlock. You can download RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 here.
29 Νοε 2010 · Redsn0w 0.9.6b5 jailbreaks iOS 4.2.1 but also provides the added ability to install baseband firmware that can be unlocked for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. For other iOS devices, redsn0w 0.9.6b5 will simply jailbreak the device but some models will be a tethered jailbreak.
If you rely on an unlock for your iPhone and still want to run and jailbreak the latest iOS version available, you can use RedSn0w, PwnageTool or Sn0wBreeze. All three tools will allow you to update to a newer firmware and jailbreak it while preserving your baseband, which is the key to your unlock.

It includes support for all devices except the iPod touch (3rd generation), and supports a tethered jailbreak on iPhone 3GS units and iPod touch (2nd generation) units with new bootroms.
