26 Σεπ 2019 · Installing refind from Windows 10. In this blog post I’ll be covering the process of installing and troubleshooting refind bootloader from a machine running Windows 10 1903 (although I hope this will survive any updates from Microsoft).
In some cases you may need to rename the EFI/refind directory as EFI/boot, and rename refind_x86.efi to bootx64.efi (or refind_ia32.efi to bootia32.efi on 32-bit systems). Consult the installing.html file for full details.

10 Αυγ 2017 · Insert the Windows install media and press escape to make reFind regenerate its list of boot options. Select the Windows installer. There will probably be two options where one of them is labled legacy.
Note: If you install rEFInd on a computer running macOS 11 ("Big Sur"), be sure to boot from the macOS option called Boot macOS from Preboot. If present, the option to boot from your installation hard disk won't work with macOS 11. You can hide the non-functional option as described here.
you use rEFInd to boot into your Distribution normal boot menu, and select/change the entry to it boots into console mode is what I do. Likely you could add a custom entry to the rEFInd menus, but I have not looked into that.
