Type bcdedit /set "{bootmgr}" path \EFI\refind\refind_x64.efi to set rEFInd as the default EFI boot program. Note that "{bootmgr}" is entered as such, including both the quotes and braces ({}). Also, change refind_x64.efi to refind_ia32.efi on systems with 32-bit EFIs. Such computers are rare, and most of them are tablets.

This page describes rEFInd, my fork of the rEFIt boot manager for computers based on the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) and Unified EFI (UEFI).
In some cases you may need to rename the EFI/refind directory as EFI/boot, and rename refind_x86.efi to bootx64.efi (or refind_ia32.efi to bootia32.efi on 32-bit systems). Consult the installing.html file for full details.
