Applications, Forms and Leaflets. Examinations for Teacher Certification (CL-818) California state laws and regulations require individuals pursuing credentials authorizing service in California’s public schools to verify proficiency in a number of areas.
The California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) program has been developed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for prospective teachers who choose to or are required to meet specific requirements for certification by taking examinations.
CSET: Preliminary Educational Technology (test codes 133 and 134) is the current approved examination that is taken only by candidates who have completed a teacher preparation program outside of California.
