Abstract: It is very clear from the foregoing that living together relationships or cohabitation and premarital sex are new trends that are on the rise and are becoming more practiced and increasing day by day in Nepalese context.
This presentation seeks to answer a few key questions regarding the interconnection between caste and gender. It also seeks to answer the question regarding how and why women in Nepal wittingly and unwittingly help maintain the caste system that underlies their own subordination.
