  1. There are actually only two rental companies in Cuba - Via Gaviota and Transtur (with Rex operating as a separate division of Transtur). So most people have rented from Transtur. I would have thought that renting direct from Transtur, you could not use a US credit card.

  2. There doesn't seem to be an option of reviewing Rex car hire specifically so here goes: Rex car hire at hotel parque central. We had reserved our car through Cuba direct but although we were supposed to pick it up at 10am it wasn't available until 12.30.

  3. There are two Cuban rental companies - Via Gaviota and transtur but Transtur has several divisions. One is Rex and http://www.rex.cu is their site - the .cu shows it is a Cuban website. carrentalcuba.com is part of cubatravelnetwork.com which is one of the best known agencies.

  4. We found a website called "Transtur" which then transfers to "rentcarcuba". Both websites seem fine, but when the payment process starts, the website "come2e.com" opens and i think it kinda looks "sketchy". Do you have any experience with this or is it fine? Thanks for your help, can't wait to see this beautiful country.

  5. Answer 1 of 9: Has anyone had experience with REX chauffeur car rental programs. They offer a driver/guide by the day or by the week.

  6. Answer 1 of 10: Has anyone used the website rex.cu to reserve a rental car? They charge the full price when you make a reservation and I want to make sure that the website is reliable before I finalize the booking.
