Rhomboid minor originates from the nuchal ligament and spinous processes of the seventh cervical (C7) and first thoracic (T1) vertebrae.

Attachments: Originates from the spinous processes of C7-T1 vertebrae. Attaches to the medial border of the scapula, at the level of the spine of scapula. Actions: Retraction and rotation of the scapula.
