   I have gone on two tours with Rick Steves and both have been excellent, well-run tours. The accommodations did tend to vary from city to city, but overall his emphasize on family-run hotels with free breakfasts works well.

Least: Generally I am not wild about craft type demos (mask making and glass blowing in Venice (21 day BOE), pottery in Deruta (Village Italy, alabaster carving (Heart of Italy) )

   8 Μαΐ 2022 · We took the tour (or 4th RS) in 2019. Our hotels and the food, were the best of any of the tours. I think it should be pretty clear from the tour descriptions and the basic RS travel philosophy, that it is not a luxury tour. Its all about convenient locations - nice hotels are a bonus.
