Has anyone had success on risperidone for OCD? I have contamination OCD, and get very agitated with my daily avoidances and compulsions. I’m so stressed all the time, I’m always in fight or flight mode hence having a short temper, being uptight all the time 😖 or the other end and sob cry.
Now I'm taking 1mg of Risperidone for about 5 days. It's been pretty rough and bad. My symptoms just worsened, the rumination has been through the roof and experiencing different OCD symptoms and thoughts that I haven't had in a long time... just feeling down and discouraged.
My psychiatrist prescribed me Risperidone yesterday and I will be picking it up today. I have OCD and intrusive thoughts / negative disturbing thought loops are my most excruciating symptom. That is why she prescribed this medication. I am also on Celexa for my anxiety and I like it.
