Anglers catch a variety of fish, from redfish and speckled trout to large drum. While nighttime has a special appeal, you can fish from the pier during the daytime and have spectacular views of the bay and harbor. It’s free to visit the boardwalk, but there is a per-rod fishing fee.

Copano Causeway pier is permanently closed but dishing is still available at the ramp. Breakwater Piers on the South side of Rockport Beach and at the end of Market are free, lighted, open and great places to fish
