Romans 10:10. For with the heart — Not with the understanding only; man believeth unto righteousness — So as to obtain justification, regeneration, and holiness, in all its branches; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation — So as to obtain eternal salvation.
Gann's Commentary on the Bible. Romans 10:10. For with the heart -- Such a sincere faith that influences one’s whole life in all manner and conduct of life. one believes unto righteousness -- Believes, (Romans 1:5; Romans 16:26, trusts and obeys) so that justification is obtained.

1. (Romans 10:1-3) Israel’s refusal to submit to the righteousness of God. Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
