18 Μαΐ 2023 · If you call the number, scammers pretend to be customer service representatives. They will insist you pay an activation fee or allow them remote access to your smart TV.
I've only managed to keep them on the line long enough to be asked to turn my TV on and tell them what brand of remote I use. It's obviously a scam because, among other details, someone calling from my actual service provider would say the name of the company. But I'm curious: What's the goal here? How does this scam work?

30 Μαρ 2023 · If you get an error message of any kind from any of your streaming services on a smart TV, the best thing to do first is check on other devices to see if you still have access. If you do, email a customer service rep and inform them of the error message you received.
