The Sabah Progressive Party (Malay: Parti Maju Sabah, abbreviated SAPP) [ 1 ] is a multiracial political party based in Sabah, Malaysia. It was registered on 21 January 1994 by dissidents led by former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee from United Sabah Party.
Parti Maju Sabah (bahasa Inggeris: Sabah Progressive Party, SAPP) ialah sebuah parti politik berbilang kaum yang bertapak di negeri Sabah, Malaysia. SAPP didaftarkan pada 21 Januari 1994 oleh pemisah dari Parti Bersatu Sabah pimpinan bekas Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Yong Teck Lee.
Autonomi politik, reformasi tanah, IC Sabah dan pelbagai isu-isu penting akan menjadi keutamaan kepada perjuangan SAPP untuk menjadikan Sabah terbaik sekali lagi dan untuk membuat kita bangga menjadi rakyat Sabah keluarga dalam negara Malaysia.
Sabah although rich in natural resources and once the second richest state in the country, is now the poorest. With authority concentrated in Kuala Lumpur, being poor also made Sabahans powerless and they have come to depend on and subservient to others, particularly peninsular Malaysian politicians in Kuala Lumpur.
