Medical care is provided by administering emergency first aid and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Activities are coordinated to promote health awareness (e.g., health fairs, blood drives, flu shots, vision, glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension screening, and men & women's health.
Trained and licensed staff can guide you in personal, social, and/or psychological matters such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and grief. We can help you manage these issues, your responsibilities, and other personal situations. All resources listed are free or low-cost and are available in Bexar and surrounding counties.
The Community Health Worker program prepares students to work for public health, non-profit and commercial health maintenance companies or organizations affiliated with the management of health services.
Through Wellness 360 at the Alamo Colleges District, students can visit with a medical professional in one of our on-site clinics or via telehealth from the comfort of their homes, or anywhere they have phone and Internet access.
