For Spring/Summer/Fall 2022 and beyond, SAT/ACT scores will be required for First Year and Dual Enrollment applicants. Scores must be submitted electronically by the respective testing agency. UGA will not accept scores that appear on your high school transcript, nor will we consider paper reports.
The academic review of first-year applications centers on several criteria: the student’s grade point average (GPA) in core academic courses, the rigor of a student’s course selection, and his or her best combination of scores on the SAT or ACT.
For Early Action, the last test date accepted is the October SAT or the September ACT. For Regular Decision, the last test date accepted is the December ACT or SAT. As long as tests are taken and scores are requested by the application deadline we can utilize them in the review process.

Applicants for first-year admission to summer or fall semester must apply by the appropriate deadline (see the Admissions Web site, www.admissions.uga.edu). The University of Georgia admits first-year applicants whose high school curriculum, grades earned, and college admissions test scores indicate they can be successful at the university level.
24 Φεβ 2024 · Admission Requirements Summary. Because Georgia is fairly competitive, you have a decent chance of acceptance with the right GPA and test scores. If you have a 4.0 GPA, you have a good shot at getting in. An SAT score of 1320 will further improve your application.
