2 Ιουν 2014 · The quickest and easiest way to remove a smooth barrel nut from the factory is to use a pipe wrench and replace it with a slotted or smooth nut. With all the blasting grit and bluing salts they are tough to break loose the first time even with a SSS smooth nut wrench.

8 Οκτ 2013 · just removed a smooth nut with the Wheeler wrench and the brass shim that came with it. It came off pretty easy. Just kept tightening the bolt on the wrench and hit it with a hammer. I will give someone the wrench and unscathed smooth nut as I'm not going to use either again.

OEM Nuts are offered in two sizes, Standard Shank (1.055" x 20tpi) and Large Shank (1.120"x20tpi).
