Say Yes Buffalo provides scholarships to eligible graduates of Buffalo public and charter schools to all State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY) schools and more than 90 private colleges and universities.
Students register for our scholarship beginning the fall of their senior year of high school. Details about this process will be shared by your student’s school counselor at that time. In addition, Say Yes staff are available at each school to assist students who have questions.
Say Yes Buffalo partners with over 90 institutions, including SUNY Erie, to provide tuition-only scholarships to eligible graduates of Buffalo public and charter schools. SUNY Erie also has dedicated staff who provide enrolled Say Yes students with one-on-one academic, personal, and financial aid support.

Buffalo, N.Y. —The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo scholarship application process for the 2022 – 2023 academic year is now open. Applications are due by May 1, 2022, and must be submitted online. All students, including Say Yes Buffalo applicants and scholars, that meet the eligibility requirements below are encouraged to apply.
Created to support and empower city students in their education endeavors, including graduation from high school and college, Say Yes offers a tuition scholarship to eligible city of Buffalo students. The "last dollar" (after state and federal grants are applied for) is a tuition guarantee program, capped at SUNY tuition costs.
