This route will take you into the forest away from the neighborhood streets and up towards the top of the hill. There is a lookout on the top of the hill where you'll get some nice city views.
21 Δεκ 2016 · Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park is a 575 acre park with an easily accessible trail network. For this hike, I linked up the Schabarum Trail, Purple Sage Trail, and Powder Canyon Loop for a 10 mile hike. In this guide I will include directions, a map, and a hike description with photos.
Start by going to the Black Walnut Trail--on Fullerton Road (just west of Harbor Boulevard). Take this up to the Powder Canyon Trail and onwards (north) to the horse stables. The trail continues west ending at the Schabarum Peak (by the transmission towers).
