With firm roots in the Toronto Schutzhund community since 1992. Our main facility in Markham, Ontario has a standard Schutzhund field with all the equipment available to our members. Our prime goal is to train and develop the total German Shepherd dog in both work and conformation, but not sacrificing one over the other.

We are located along a dirt road on the west side of 9th line. Tuesday and Thursday evenings, most of Sunday. Club field located at 565 Uxbridge Pickering Townline Rd., Pickering (Altona). Some GPSs will take you too far east. We are between sideline 30 and 28.

Schutzhund measures the dog’s mental stability, endurance, structural efficiencies, ability to scent, willingness to work, courage and trainability. One of the most important qualities of a Schutzhund trained dog is his complete obedience under distraction.
The GSSCC is a member of the Weltunion der Vereine für Deutsche Schäferhunde (WUSV) and of the Canadian Working Dog Federation (CWDF).
