Park Reservations. A few have questions about how the new reservation system works and how to get online access to reserve facilities for your event. I’ve included some instructions here (and a video at the bottom) for how to log in to Community Pass and how to make your family account.

Scott Park. Park rentals are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, except for the Community Room and the Lodge; the hours are from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM. However, during the recreation program the park rentals start at 2:00 PM on weekdays. Rentals are not available for July 4 and Octoberfest.
A Rental Housing License can be obtained from the Maryland Department of Inspections, Licenses, and Permits for Howard County and are required for the owner of a dwelling unit to or lease in the county. The license is valid for 2 years, application cost is $20-$93.50.
To find out if a property has a current Howard County Rental License, or if you have questions regarding the habitability of your rental (pests, non-functioning appliances, living condition), you can call the Department of Inspections, Licensing and Permits at 410-313-1830.
TOWNSHIP OF SCOTT PARK RESERVATION Permit holder must be at least 21 years old and a resident of Scott Township. A “resident” of Scott Township is an individual that lives/resides in the township. We will only accept the Scott Township resident’s personal check or cash. Rentals must be paid if full.

In Howard County, you must apply for a rental license before anything else can happen. Howard County is unique in that they do NOT offer options to apply and pay online.
