Taking and ripping inspiration from the mind of u/foreverfidel, I have made a printable pdf of an organized guide book with different sections for every map in the game, with extraction maps, some stash maps, etc. There is also a section for ammo.
Quests, both player-given and dynamically generated, are intended to be a large part of Escape from Tarkov. Some require you to pick stuff up for certain traders, while others require you to kill other operators or mark vehicles and specific places. Quests are the fastest way of gaining EXP.

I use Tarkov Tracker to help me find and keep Found In Raid items for quests. It has helped me for a first time player, that and map genie.
