While the biggest blockbusters are usually screened in theaters, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the warm weather and partake in an old American pastime: drive-in and outdoor movies. Enjoy some snacks and catch classic flicks you’ve never seen before or re-visit old favorites.
Every year I put together a list of the outdoor movies in Washington, DC. All of these are free. This does not include Library of Congress, The Wharf, Films at the Stone, or Friends of Mitchell Park. Dogs are allowed at all venues besides Marie Reed soccer field.
