The 5 Sports’ Movement: Seiko 4R36 Automatic Caliber. As alluded to earlier, the movement beating inside the Seiko 5 Sports is a significant upgrade, if not the most important aspect of the new line. Nevertheless, it is not necessarily a new Seiko caliber.
For the first time, the Seiko 5 Sports Field series introduces a new watch with a GMT function. The prominent, five-sided GMT hand in red enhances legibility against the black dial. The thick, curved glass lends the watch an air of sophistication ideally suited for travelers.
25 Αυγ 2022 · The in-house 4R34 automatic GMT movement inside the Seiko 5 Sports GMT SSK005K1 is the newest variant in the 4R family but maintains essentially the same architecture as the familiar three-hand 4R36. Like the 4R36, the 4R34’s finishing is basic and straightforward, with heavily grained brushed bridges accented by broad perlage on the mainplate.
