Seminal vesiculitis is an uncommon entity characterized by inflammation of the seminal vesicles. It is most commonly infective in etiology and often associated with concurrent infection elsewhere in the male genital tract, forming part of the spectrum of male accessory gland inflammation 4.
This is an uncommon imaging finding of inflammation of the right seminal vesicle and spermatic cord. Seminal vesiculitis can happen through a similar retrograde infection as vasitis and epididymo-orchitis, and thus it is not surprising that they likely accompany each other in this case.
The case presents typical features of seminal vesiculitis in the form of enlarged seminal vesicles with dilatation of their tubules, also with diffuse mural thickening, and enhancement of their walls and septae.

1 Ιουλ 2009 · The seminal vesicle (SV) and vas deferens (VD) are ancillary but essential urogenital organs. Understanding their embryologic features and anatomy can be helpful in evaluating various disorders of these organs.
On axial CT imaging, the uid containing seminal vesicles has the characteristic "bow-tie" appearance (Fig. 6). A fat plane should be visible between the bladder and the seminal vesicles on CT. The seminal vesicles serve as a landmark for the lowest extent of the peritoneal cavity and for the location of the ureterovesical junctions.
