27 Μαΐ 2020 · My name is Eli, I’m 39 years old now, and I am a sepsis shock survivor. I was born in Eritrea but raised in Germany where I still live. My septic shock happened in September 2016, when I was 36 years old. I've had extreme period pain since my youth and it only got worse after I had kids.
29 Απρ 2021 · It turns out my appendix had been leaking for weeks, and my body went septic. The infection was attacking all my organs. The surgeon tried laparoscopic surgery and found that my abdomen was entirely infected and ended up opening my abdomen entirely for a full appendectomy.
18 Ιουν 2024 · Recovering from septic shock can take longer than you may expect. Survivors may appear to be better, but many live with long-lasting effects from having been so ill. Up to 50% of sepsis survivors live with post-sepsis syndrome (PSS), which can be mild or severe.
