There are several ways to register for NHIF. One can register online by using the NHIF Selfcare Platform and follow the steps outlined in the platform. One can register by dialing the USSD code *155# from any network and following the prompts.
To register to the NHIF Service Portal in Tanzania, you need to follow these steps: Visit the official NHIF website and click on the “Online Application” link. Fill in your personal details, such as your name, National ID No, email, and mobile number.

All students have to fill NHIF student’s registration form or apply online through Online Students Registration portal. Forms shall be attached with one (1) recent colored passport size photo. Dully filled forms should be submitted to NHIF offices.
