Logging into Student Self-Service. In order to access Student Self-Service and register for classes, you must know your NetID and password to login. Students are assigned a NetID upon admission, and must then establish a password to access Self-Service and other important online services at UIS.
Your NetID serves as your login for many University computing and networking services and also determines your University email address, which is netid@uis.edu. For more information, or to claim your NetID, please visit our Account / Password webpage.
Canvas is a modern learning management system that supports student-focused teaching and learning at UIS. The robust features of Canvas help to enhance teaching and learning beyond the physical classroom. Log In to Canvas.
Go to iStart.uis.edu. You will click the blue “LOGIN” button under Full Client Services for Students & Scholars and you will use your UIS Net ID and password to log-in.
Students should register through Student Self-Service (available via the Office of Records and Registration’s website). Though all students are encouraged to use Student Self-Service, assistance with the registration process is available by contacting the Office of Records and Registration.
The University of Illinois Springfield has been offering online courses and degrees since 1999. Currently UIS offers 56 bachelor's degrees, 39 minors, 44 master's degree, one doctoral degree, 37 graduate certificates and coursework that leads to six ISBE endorsements.
