As a child actor, Correll played the role of Beaver's friend Richard Rickover during the last three seasons of Leave It to Beaver (1960–63). He also appeared in multiple episodes of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, Lassie and National Velvet.
Ward and June are concerned when they discover that Beaver's visiting friend Chopper has divorced parents but soon see that Chopper's own experience will serve as Beaver's best lesson on this life changing event.

She reprised her role in the "Leave It to Beaver" follow-up series and films. After marrying three times and having two sons, Billingsley died on October 16, 2010, aged 94.
