Sharpe's Peril is a 2008 British TV film, usually shown in two parts, which is part of an ITV series based on Bernard Cornwell's historical fiction novels about the English soldier Richard Sharpe during the Napoleonic Wars.

Sharpe (Bean) and Harper are en route to Madras when they encounter a baggage train from the East India Company traveling through hostile territory. Chitu, a legendary bandit leader in control of the area, strikes fear in the members of the party.
Thoughts on Sharpe's Peril. I'm happy to say I finally got to the end of the series, and I was pleasantly surprised that after several below-average films, the whole thing ended very strongly with Sharpe's Peril, to the point where I'm quite satisfied leaving Sean Bean's era.
Sharpe's Peril, by Russell Lewis, takes up where Sharpe's Challenge left off. Sharpe and Harper are on their way to Madras, from where they are to sail to England, when they come upon an East India Company baggage train, also making its way to Madras.
A further adventure in India, Sharpe's Peril, is soon forthcoming, taking up where Sharpe's Challenge left off as Sharpe and Harper march again, albeit in an attempt to finally go home for good. Who knows what the journey holds in store for them, but considering his past, you can be sure that Sharpe will certainly rise to any challenge that ...
