The High Noon Razor, a popular subject in western razor reviews, is the first release from the Western Shave Company. It’s a standard Double Edged Razor that takes conventional DE blades. It consists of the standard three piece design, (Top Cap, Guard and Handle) and is 100% metal with no plastic pieces anywhere.
18 Ιουλ 2024 · I recently received the High Noon razor from western Razor. First reaction was Wow, what a BEAST. the razor is much much bigger than my Trusty Gillette Adjustibles. Here is a size comparison:

This is the first I’ve seen of them. Seems pretty pricey for “chrome plated zinc”.
With all of this, my two favorites have not changed — Astra SP in more aggressive razors and Polsilver in milder razors. (Although Polsilver seems to be gone, I have found a local shop which still has several hundred in stock so I scarfed up 200 yesterday.)
From looking at Razor Emporium's numerical rating, the latter are a bit more aggressive than the former faves. When I couldn't find a full review of their blades, I shot an email to WRC and they were *hugely* helpful.
Here is my Oneblade review. Some shaving aficionados (“shave nerds”) are dissatisfied with the relative lack of blade choice (vs. double edge blades) and the relatively short blade life. Others think the razors are too mild.
