28 Νοε 2020 · My Shaw barrel in 6.5 CM was a copper mine. It shot terrific when clean, but accuracy went south as it coppered up, and it did that very quickly. They make a decent hunting rifle, but not so much if shooting groups in targets. Use it for what it was designed for and you'll be quite satisfied.
21 Ιουν 2017 · So far they all 5 shoot very good, much better than a factory rifle. But the two ER Shaw barrels are both outstanding as you can see above. They say a barrel and best accuracy are seen after 200 or so shots...can't wait to see what these two riflesh will do then!
8 Μαρ 2017 · I've had several E.R. Shaw barrels starting back about 15 years, and most recently about a year ago. I did a review on the latest one, which had a "tight spot"; and several posts with it. Possible past demons aside, I've never had a "bad" barrel from them; including the current barrel.
21 Οκτ 2020 · Looking at building a 6mm arc and I found a company called Shaw custom barrels and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them good or bad?
13 Σεπ 2018 · When Shaw started business in the 1950s, shotgun barrels were its specialty. Included were the distinctive 36” tubes for the legendary, if outlandish, Marlin Model 55 Goose Gun.
10 Ιαν 2023 · I have seen folks on the Rimfire boards state that ER Shaw is an upgrade for the Ruger Predators, so if I were building or rebarreling I would have no problem trusting a Shaw barrel. That said I think 1/8 will be better for 240gr, while you probably want 1/10 for 208/215.
As I said on the other forum, ER Shaw does not finish off barrel packages, they make barrels complete without a gas port or extension pin and someone else must parkerize, chromeline, drill the gas port match a properly headspaced bolt and package the deal.
