Pets must arrive at the cargo facility 4 to 6 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic travel and 6 hours prior to departure for international travel. Delta Cargo requires international customers to use a pet shipper approved by the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association.
Delta will transport service dogs to London (Heathrow & Gatwick) and Manchester with the proper documentation and compliance with U.K. guidelines. Contact the appropriate Animal Reception Center in your destination city for more information on requirements to enter the United Kingdom.
Delta Allows dogs, cats and household birds* to travel in the cabin of an aircraft to/from certain destinations for a one-way fee, collected at check in. *Household birds are only permitted to travel on domestic U.S. flights. The following restrictions apply to pets traveling as carry-on baggage:

If you would like to ship your animal with Delta Airlines, you must wait until 14 days prior to the travel date—the airline will not accept reservations more than two weeks in advance. You can search for a Delta pet cargo flight and make your reservation online.
