The Mastic Beach Satellite Branch is 7,000 square feet on one level with ample parking, an outdoor program space, and a soon-to-be-developed library park across the street. It offers a streamlined and convenient library experience for local residents on Neighborhood Road with an abundance of natural light throughout the building.
3 Μαρ 2023 · MORICHES, NY – MARCH 30, 2023 – The Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library will open the doors to a modern, new 7,000-square-foot Satellite Branch Library at 201 Montauk Highway in Moriches at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 15 at 1:30 pm.
Our doors first opened to the public on June 14, 1975, located in two portable classrooms on the William Floyd School District property. On June 1, 1977, the Library relocated to a storefront on William Floyd Parkway. On December 12, 1979, a bond issue was approved to build a permanent Library.

Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library. We're Building a Better Library System. On December 10, 2019, library district residents voted to approve a $22.7 million bond to make much-needed improvements to our main library building and construct two satellite branches in Mastic Beach and Moriches.
