Looking to see how much recoil energy your handgun, rifle, shotgun, or other firearm produces? The recoil calculator below gives you a way to estimate and compare the recoil of any firearm.
This program calculates the recoil energy when you shoot a shotgun. You need to know the load weight in ounces, the muzzle velocity. (i.e. 1 1/8th ounce at 1145 fps) and the weight of your gun in pounds.
31 Δεκ 2021 · An average 12-gauge shotgun load produces 40-60% more recoil than a 20-gauge shotgun if all else is equal. The recoil difference between a 12-gauge and a 20-gauge shotgun is minimal in target loads, but more pronounced in waterfowl loads.
A table by Chuck Hawks compares the recoil of different shotgun gauges and shells in this comprehensive recoil table.
21 Νοε 2022 · The recoil energy calculator will use these values to determine the following outputs: Recoil velocity of the firearm; Recoil energy of the firearm; and; Recoil impulse of the firearm.
Our recoil calculator tool will help you determine the recoil energy and velocity of your firearm based on the ammunition and firearm specifications you input. Recoil Calculator. Bullet Mass (grains): Bullet Velocity (feet per second): Gun Weight (pounds): Calculate. Result: How to use the Recoil Calculator.
