Other mods I can personally recommend have already been mentioned: The Personality Mod and The Hobby Mod by MissyHissy (mostly a work in progress but perfectly functional) and More traits in CAS for more complex personalities (which is something the Sims in TS2 have).
If you‘re going maxis match, I can always recommend 4t2 buy mode conversions. They fit perfectly into the game. There‘s a whole tumblr blog that lists all conversions from all The Sims 4 packs, search for sims4t2bb.
