28 Οκτ 2018 · Shields come in handy, and it’s always fun to go into battle with a sword in one hand and a spell in another. No matter what you fancy (unless you have your heart set on the best bow in Skyrim), having the best one handed weapon in Skyrim is never a bad thing.
The best 1h weapon in game for stats is tied between chillrend (if you find it when you are lvl 50+) and mirraks sword (if you obtain at at lvl 60+) For the best dps: dragonbone dagger enchanted with chaos damage and fire damage (I prefer fiery soul trap to fire damage.)
Mehunes Razor is that dagger from the Dawnstar Museum. It has a chance to instakill anything. If you combine it with dual-wielding perks, you can trigger the effect quite often. Miraak's Sword from the Dragonborn DLC is the most powerful one-handed weapon in the game for base damage.
Outside of custom made weapons, the Longhammer is what I would argue is the best 2-Handed weapon. It’s the fastest 2-Handed weapon, bar none. Coupled with Elemental Fury and you can swing even faster than some dual wielding set-ups.
