25 Μαρ 2016 · I got some great weapons from Oblivion, Ebony Bow/Sword, and upgraded them at Smith with ebony ingots. Bow deals 102 base damage now, (Legendary upgrade), and sword is 58. Both called "of the inferno," they also do 45% fire damage.

Vampires in 4.x and recent no longer have undead-like blunt/pierce resistance, so a Mace is actually the best weapon against armored vampires. High stagger of blunt weapons can also help, but low attack speed can put you in danger sometimes.
Vampires are really tough to fight against, especially the master vampire variants as they can take a huge beating. However, all vampires are weak to fire (they take an extra 50% damage). What you want to do ahead of time is to prepare lots and lots of fire: cast flame cloak, put a fire rune on the ground, and summon a flame atronach.
9 Απρ 2013 · Actually, the Dawnbreaker is the best weapon I have used against Vampires. It does extra sun damage against the undead and if the undead falls in battle has a chance to explode and the explosion affects the nearby undead causing them to flee from combat for about a minute.
When wearing a full set of armor (body armor, boots, gauntlets, and helmet), Dawnguard armors reduce incoming damage from vampires by 25% and the magnitude of hostile spells cast by vampires is reduced by 25%.
Dawnbreaker makes for a good weapon against vampires. On top of being very weak against fire, they are also considered undead, therefore they are affected by the fiery explosion. If you are playing as a vampire when the explosion occurs you will be affected by it and gain the active effect, Meridia's Retribution.
