Once you find Arniel Gane, he’ll ask you to go check out the ruins to the north, and 4 markers appear on the map. Three of them will be enchanted rings, and then the third will be an amulet on the wall. When you pick up the amulet, it’ll trigger a barricade that’ll trap you in the room.
Head inside the room on the right and activate the ancient amulet. You will obtain the Saarthal Amulet and become trapped inside the room. Tolfdir will rush up to ask what happened, so explain to him your current situation.
