12 Νοε 2020 · Discussion. In this large, retrospective cohort study of patients undergoing bariatric surgery, sleeve gastrectomy was associated with a lower risk of mortality, complications, reintervention, and other adverse events compared with gastric bypass up to 5 years after surgery.

Systematic search of Pubmed, Cochrane, and Embase was performed in order to find all the articles reporting 10+ years of LSG results. Eleven studies including 1020 patients met the inclusion criteria.
14 Οκτ 2019 · Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) – with its high efficacy and low complication rates – has gained popularity during the past decade worldwide and is currently second in popularity only to roux-en-y gastric bypass [ 9 ].
Results. Nine cohort studies met the inclusion criteria, with a total of 2280 patients included initially. Only 652 patients had completed ≥7 years of follow-up. At ≥7 years, the long-term weight recidivism rate was estimated to be 27.8% (I2 = .60%; 95% CI: 22.8%–32.7%) with a range of 14% to 37%.
