We rescue dogs from high kill shelters across Southern California, rehab them through dog behavior and find them forever homes. To see all of our dogs that are up for adoption, click here. Once you see a dog you are interested in, you can proceed to the adoption form.
Small Breed Rescue of Southern California is an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster based organization funded by donations. We are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs, small reptiles and select exotic pets primarily from public shelters and other rescues.
Dog adoptions can be honored for interested parties that are within a 1-hour drive of Vista and reptile adoptions that are within a 3-hour drive. Our virtual office hours are 2-6 PM on Mon, Tue, Thurs and 12-6 PM on Fri - Closed on weekends and holidays
We have been rescuing small breed dogs in Southern California since 2005, and have been in rescue, both dog and cat, since 1986. Owner Surrendered dogs, are occasionally accepted, and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and dependent on having a foster home available.
