Below I have put together a list of times and temperatures for smoking meats. Most are only an estimate but should allow you to make a loose plan for dinner time. Note: Be sure to use temperature to tell you when the meat is done.. time is just an estimate and is NOT an indicator of doneness.
12 Οκτ 2022 · Smoked Chicken Temp and Time. While smoking a chicken on a smoker, the standard cooking temperature is 250 to 275 F, and the time is about 45 minutes per pound approximately. I give around 2-3 hours for my smoked whole chicken to be done.
While there is some flexibility in smoking temperatures for chicken, the ideal range is typically between 225°F (107°C) and 250°F (121°C). This temperature range allows for slow and steady cooking, resulting in tender and flavorful smoked chicken.

Always use temp to determine when food is ready to pull for smaller cuts like steaks, poultry and fish. For larger cuts like brisket or pork shoulder, use temp as a guide as larger pieces of meat render fat differently. Use this temperature chart with a good digital thermometer.
