19 Ιουν 2020 · Power wise, it's rated 3/16 - 1/2 oz with a really soft tip, but its strong backbone warrants heavier lures. Balance wise, it's balanced really well. The most balanced rods I handled are Dobyns rods, and it matches their level of balancing.
The reviewers admitted that all travel rods make some compromises compared to a 1-piece rod, but that modern telescopic rods were no worse than the 4 or 6 piece travel rods they competed with (and had some advantages in the way of portability and ease of assembly).

30 Δεκ 2020 · A blend of fiberglass and graphite, this rod is apparently excellent on downriggers, though I've only fished them for leads over the past 12 months. Frankly, these have excellent action and they have handled leads up to 3 ounces no problem. I typically fish them as stern rods.

Still, most of us seek out reviews anyway to learn availability of new models or what the experts think. Experts? Professional reviewers tend to own or work in fly shops.
