SOD-3 Antibody (A-11) is an IgG 2a κ mouse monoclonal SOD-3 antibody (also designated SOD3 antibody, superoxide dismutase 3 antibody) that detects the SOD-3 protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC (P) and ELISA.
SOD3 is a secretory, homotetrameric, Cu/Zn-containing SOD that is found primarily in the ECM and on cell surfaces. SOD3 binds heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) and collagen which function to anchor it to the ECM.
SOD-3 is a Mn-containing tetrameric protein with a subunit Mr of 24-35 kDa. The activity of EC-SOD is dependent on its ability to form a tetramer of 135 kDa. Store at -20°C. Stable for one year after shipment. PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol pH 7.3.
