27 Ιουν 2019 · The classic symptoms indicating a soleus strain are tightness in the entire calf muscle, stiffness, and pain that increases in intensity over several days or weeks. Swelling is typically mild; however, even the simple movements of walking and jogging will likely provoke and exacerbate the symptoms.
Recovery depends on the extent of the soleus injury. According to Harvard Health Publishing, mild strains can heal within a couple weeks. Grade II strains can take a few months, while complete tears can take several months.

17 Μαρ 2022 · Swelling, tenderness and bruising are often present in the calf muscle following the injury. When the soleus muscle is involved, symptoms tend to present more commonly in the outer (lateral) aspect of the muscle. In minor strains, pain may be minimal allowing continued activity.
